方方华文 ("P6Chinese", "the App") is a Primary 6 Chinese learning iOS app operated by Vcodes App ("we", "us"), the same company behind PSLE Alex (pslealex.com/privacy). This Privacy Policy covers the P6Chinese iOS app specifically, in compliance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and Apple App Store privacy requirements.
If you also use PSLE Alex on the web, that platform is governed by its own privacy policy at pslealex.com/privacy. The two policies are intentionally separated — the P6Chinese app collects far less data than the web platform (see §2 below).
We do not collect any personal information about you or your child inside the P6Chinese app.
The app has no login. You do not enter an email, name, phone number, date of birth, school, or grade. Your learning progress (which chapters you have opened, which questions you have answered) is stored on your device only and never sent to us.
If you are a PSLE Alex premium subscriber, you can unlock the full P6Chinese app for free by entering a redemption code (format: P6-XXXX-XXXX) generated from your PSLE Alex account.
When you activate a code inside the P6Chinese app, we send exactly two things to our servers:
identifierForVendor), so we can bind the code to one device and block re-use on a different device. This identifier is a random string that Apple provides to us — it cannot be used to identify you personally, and it resets automatically if you uninstall every one of our apps.We do not receive your name, email, Apple ID, IP-based location, phone number, or any information about your child from the P6Chinese app during this activation.
Once per day, when you open the P6Chinese app, we check that your PSLE Alex subscription is still active — so that a cancellation or refund on the PSLE Alex side promptly locks the premium content in the app. This check sends the same two pieces of data as §3 (the redemption code and the anonymous device identifier) and returns only a yes/no answer. No new information is transmitted.
If your device is offline, the app keeps working normally. We never lock the app just because the check couldn't reach us — only a confirmed "subscription no longer active" response causes the paywall to come back.
You can unbind your redemption code from the current device at any time from your PSLE Alex account settings (pslealex.com/settings). After unbinding you can enter the same code on a new device (e.g. after buying a new iPhone) without asking us for a new code.
The P6Chinese app does not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do use Apple's built-in crash reporting when you have Analytics & Improvements enabled in your device Settings — you control that switch directly in iOS.
The redemption code + device identifier pair is retained for as long as the corresponding PSLE Alex account exists. If you delete your PSLE Alex account (via account Settings), we cascade-delete the associated P6Chinese redemption record within 24 hours.
If you never used PSLE Alex web and only redeemed a friend's code — contact us at help@pslealex.com to request deletion of the redemption record.
The P6Chinese app is designed for Primary 6 students. Because we collect no personal information inside the app itself (see §2), P6Chinese is compliant with Apple's Kids Category requirements and does not require parental gates for data collection reasons.
PSLE Alex web accounts (which are used to generate redemption codes) are held in a parent's name and are covered by the PSLE Alex privacy policy.
Questions, deletion requests, or complaints: help@pslealex.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes. Material changes will be surfaced inside the app on next open.
